The opening of the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line will not be delayed again: Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan announced that the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train line will be opened on July 25.

Transport and Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan said, “It will open on 25 July and there will be no delay,” the AA reporter asked on the question “When to open the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train line”.

After asking "why the opening was postponed", Elvan said, "We did not have an official statement. There was such an expectation. Then I stated that we can open it on July 11. Because we have finished our ready tests. At that time, I said, 'We are planning to open on July 11, but when our Prime Minister's program is suitable'. Now our Prime Minister has programs for the provinces. The strategy document will be announced on July 11. So we will open it on the 25th of July. We will have an organization in Eskişehir. From there, we will go to Bilecik and Pendik. ”

Minister Elvan, on the question of "the accident of the high-speed train during the test drive", said, "It is not an important accident. I started an investigation about that accident. If there is a negligence, I have started an inspection on how to do it. But it is not an issue that will hinder our opening. ”

"Have you launched an investigation because of suspicion of sabotage?" to the question, "It was a mistake that should not have been. That's why I opened the investigation. ”
