Turkmenistan finalizes the tender for integrated railway communication project

Turkmenistan concluded the tender for the integrated railway communication project: Huawei announced the tender decision in the contract for the procurement of GSM-R system for Turkmenistan's Buzhun-Serehtyaka and Bereket-Cilmammet integrated railway project.

The lines, which are 133 km and 23 km long respectively, are on the north-south route and construction is continuing. When completed, these lines will connect Uzen city in Kazakhstan with Bereket and Etrek cities in Turkmenistan and Gorgan city in Iran.

The company DBS3800 will supply GSM-R equipment including distributed base stations and tower mounted remote radio unit. The system will be designed in such a way that the equipment rooms cannot be close to the towers in accordance with the local legislation and will also be designed to minimize the loss of antenna supply loss within the scope of the wireless network.

Huawei has previously supplied the GSM-R system for the Chilmammet - Gyzylgaya - Buzhun section in the 289 km long corridor and the Turkmenbashi - Ashgabat line on the east - west axis.

The total length of the railway network in Turkmenistan is 3600 km, but the communication system is not contemporary and needs to be renewed.

When the project is completed, the speed on the rail will increase from 60 km / h to 120 km / h.
