Boğazköprü Junction is being Renewed: Boğazköprü Junction, where the entrance to Kayseri is made from Ankara, Niğde and Nevşehir directions, is being renovated by the 6th Regional Directorate of Highways. During the renovation and arrangement works at Boğazköprü Junction, entrances to Kayseri from Ankara, Niğde and Nevşehir directions will be provided from the Northern Ring Road.
In the written statement made by the Kayseri Provincial Police Department, “Since the 6th Regional Directorate of Highways will arrange the Bridge and Junction from the Boğazköprü junction, which is at the entrance to our city by Ankara-Niğde and Nevşehir, to the entrance of the Free Zone junction; On this side, the city entrance and exit will be closed to traffic for 5-6 months. It was said that the entrance to our city and the exit from our city to these directions will be provided by the Northern Ring Road.
In the statement, “At the end of the marking works started as of 07/04/2014, the road will be closed to traffic as of 09/04/2014. Illuminated warning and informative signs will be placed by the 6th Regional Directorate of Highways in a way that drivers can easily see day and night on the roads to be closed due to road works and in which directions the drivers will go. Since it is thought that there will be a certain traffic congestion both at the entrance of the Northern Ring Road to Ankara road and due to the narrow and sharp bends of the Oymaağaç Village Connection Road variants, we will work in coordination with the 6th Regional Directorate of Highways.
