With the launch of the Arkut Mountain Ski Center, the way for Gerede to host important sports competitions has also been opened. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has allocated one runway trimming and compression machine (snowtrack) and a snow engine for the proper use of the Arcut Mountain tracks, one of the world's most important tracks. The commissioning of the ski house and the machines encouraged athletes, coaches and youth sports officials to increase the number of ski run national athletes. District District Governor Arslan Yurt thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports officials for their interest in Gerede.
