Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will extend the construction of the Menderes Gölcükler, Tekeli, Pancar and Torbalı Kuşçuburnu highway overpasses on the additional line of 30 to Torbalı, which will extend the Aliağa-Menderes Suburb to Torbalı.
The works for the extension of the Aliağa-Menderes Commuter System-İZBAN to Torbalı, which is carried out in cooperation with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, continues rapidly. With the protocol signed with TCDD, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has completed its projects for the 30 station and 5 highway overpass on an additional line of approximately 7 kilometers, carries out the stage construction tenders. From the total 5 station on the line in July, Torbalı, Tepeköy; In August, the Metropolitan Municipality, which has made a tender for Develi, Tekeli and Pancar stations, will again undertake the construction of the 7 highway for the Menderes Gölcükler, Tekeli, Pancar and Torbalı Kuşçuburnu highway overpasses from the 11 highway crossing on the line in October. crossings will be completed in 270 days.
7 highway overpass 5 station
Within the scope of the additional line to be built for Aliağa-Menderes Suburban system-İZBAN, which has become an indispensable public transportation line of Izmir residents in a short time, a total of 5 stations will be built in Develi, Tekeli, Pancar, Torbalı and Tepeköy by the Municipality of İzmir. The stations were designed as 210 meters tall, with a lower ticket hall, pedestrian underpass, elevator and escalator. Currently, the tender has been held for 5 stations, a contract has been signed for Torbalı and Tepeköy, and the tender process continues for other stations.
There are also highway overpass at Menderes Gölcükler, Partial underpass of Cumaovası, highway overpass at Develi, highway overpass at Tekeli, highway overpass at Pancar, highway overpass at Torcalı Kuşcuburnu, highway overpass at Torbalı The highway overpass will be constructed in Tepeköy. In Tepeköy, pedestrian overpass with elevator and escalator will be constructed in order to ensure safe passage of citizens across the street. With the tender to be held in October, 11 will have more tender for 4 highway overpass, and the remaining highway crossings will be realized as soon as possible.
According to the protocol made by the Metropolitan Municipality with TCDD, the station works and sub-overpasses will be carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, while the one-line railway from Cumaovasi to Torbali will be removed even by TCDD. The construction of the protection walls of the line, signaling and electrification systems in line with the line of Aliağa-Cumaovası Torbalı Tepeköy'a extension will be done by TCDD again.
With the addition of the extra line, passengers traveling from Aliağa and the city center will have the opportunity of safe, fast, uninterrupted and comfortable travel to Torbalı. The passengers of Selçuk, Bayındır, Tire and Ödemiş will be able to travel by rail from Torbalı to İzmir center and from there to Aliağa.
