It is planned to prevent loss of life from time to time thanks to the protection band created around the rails that TCDD carries out in a planned manner. According to the information received from the officials of the TCDD 1st Regional Road Directorate, a panel fence system is being applied around the rails for protection purposes, except for the level crossings.
TCDD, railways and concrete sleepers in the standards of the International Railway Union standards, as well as the safety of the railway environment is taken care. In this way, it is aimed to prevent the death of human and animal deaths from time to time.
In Edirne, the protection fences, in which priority is given to settlements, continue.
The teams continue to work on increasing the security of the railway environment in the designated areas.
Within the scope of the renovation works, 1970 kilometer, which was previously built in 41 between Kapikule and Abalar, 1971 kilometer in 26 between Abalar and Pehlivanköy and 1989 in 90 of Pehlivanköy - Uzunköprü Çerkezköy 83 kilometers of railways were renewed.
