The Keçiören-Tandoğan Metro line, which is 9 thousand 220 meters long and consists of 9 stations, is 41 percent completed. The metro line with Atatürk Cultural Center, Aski, Dışkapı, Municipality, Mecidiye, Kuyubaşı, Dutluk and Gazino stops will cost 274 million 634 thousand TL and the said line will be completed in 2.5 years. Making the opening speech of the signing ceremony, Minister Yıldırım stated that the works on Keçiören-Tandoğan Metro will start after the site is delivered within a couple of weeks and said, “After that, our other two metro lines Kızılay-Çayyolu and Sincan lines will be activated. Their tenders have also been held, and we will sign their contracts next week. Thus, works on all 3 metro lines will be started simultaneously, ”he said.

Expressing that the tender process for a total of 324 vehicles for metro vehicles is continuing, Yıldırım announced that bids will be received until mid-February. “If everything goes well, we aim to put these subways into service if we do not experience any emergency or force majeure,” said Yıldırım, “But you will appreciate that when working underground, some unforeseen situations may arise. So we are aware of this. That is why we will work day and night without interruption.

THE TRAFFIC PROBLEM OF METROPETS CANNOT BE FULLY SOLUTION BY MAKING SUB-OVERPASS

Pointing out that the traffic problem of metropolitan cities cannot be solved completely by road only, by individual transportation, by enlarging the roads, by adding intersections, by making under and overpasses, Minister Yıldırım said, “It is necessary to attach importance to public transportation, rail system, and sea public transportation, if any. Ankara is one of these cities, ”he said.

Speaking that public transportation infrastructure and rail systems are a business that exceeds the size of municipalities and local governments, Minister Yıldırım said: “It is absolutely necessary for central governments to contribute. We made legal arrangements for this. We made a change in the Ministry's Organization Law. Thus, with the amendment we made at the end of 2010, our Ministry officially took over the construction duty, including the approval. We know how important the responsibility we take on us, how urgent it is. But nobody should doubt that we will mobilize all means on this issue. " Stating that it is important to integrate the project with the existing Ankaray system, Minister Yıldırım said, “Thus, Sincan, Eryaman, Ümitköy, Keçiören will almost be united in the city center of Ankara, not the remote districts of Ankara. Ankara residents living in these districts will also be able to go from home to work and from work to home by metro ”

“THE BIGGEST BUSINESS CONTRACTOR FALLS INTO THE PARTNERSHIP” Yıldırım explained that the contractor partnership for the Keçiören-Tandoğan line had a lot of work and said: “Both Gülermak and Kolin are two very distinguished companies that have successfully fulfilled very important commitments in Turkey and abroad. 880 days are envisaged in the contract, but we are sure that our companies will further reduce this period. They will complete this project in a shorter time by using the experience they have gained so far here. Because the residents of Ankara are impatiently waiting for these projects to end. Our Prime Minister has openly supported this issue from the very beginning.

THIS METRO WILL BREATHE KEÇIÖREN

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek stated that today is a good day for Ankara residents and stated that a new 24-kilometer system will be added to the existing 44-kilometer rail system in Ankara and that one leg of it is the Keçiören Metro. Stating that they, as the Metropolitan Municipality, spent 143 trillion liras for the Keçiören Metro, Gökçek said, “However, since our power is not enough, we especially requested our dear Prime Minister and Minister to take the metro of Ankaran and finish it as soon as possible”. Since the examples in the whole world are like this, our government did not offend us, and thanks. "

Saying that the 10-stop metro line, which is about 11 kilometers, will be put into service after 2.5 years, Gökçek addressed to Minister Yıldırım and said, “If Allah determines this, they will be finished by the end of next year. Dear Minister announced yesterday, since there is no problem with money, the work is up to the contractor's effort. I believe that our Minister will squeeze this work and they will complete this subway at the end of 2013 ”.

Pointing out that the Keçiören-Tandoğan Metro line passes under 180 buildings, Gökçek said, “When this subway is finished, a great service will come to our Keçiören. This subway will give Keçiören a serious breath ”

During this year, the project works of the Kızılay-Esenboğa Airport metro line were completed and they wished to have their protocols signed by the end of the year. Protocols were signed after the speeches.
