Beşyol Interchange Project from the Chamber of Architects: Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, City Square-Terminal between the rail system prepared to connect with each other, on the other hand began to work for the intersection of Beşyol. The first response to the project came from the Chamber of Architects of Bursa.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe said that another important problem will be eliminated with Beşyol Junction, which has been designed for the uninterrupted operation of traffic on Istanbul Street, which will completely change its face with the rail system on the one hand and urban transformation on the other. The Metropolitan Municipality, which started the City Square - Terminal T9.4 tram line project with a total length of 11 kilometers, accelerated the bridges and intersections on the route in order not to interrupt the rail transportation. The intersection project planned to be built on Beşyol, the point where Çelebi Mehmet Boulevard intersects with Istanbul Street, will come to the tender stage, while Çelebi Mehmet Boulevard will be connected to Küçükbalıklı Mahallesi. While Küçükbalıklı, Çiftehavuzlar, Altınova and Fatih districts are connected by a bridge, the clover sections of the intersection will be completed with the completion of the expropriations to be made later.
The first reaction to this project came from the Bursa Chamber of Architects. Chamber President Can Şimşek said, "An intersection to be built before the expropriations are completed will not mean anything other than connecting Küçükbalıklı, Çiftehavuzlar, Altınova and Fatih districts and will not serve to reduce the traffic load on the Istanbul road." Stating that the people of Bursa will be victims, Şimşek said, “On the other hand, since the clover connections to be made after the expropriations are almost as much a production as the intersection itself, the Istanbul road will be occupied twice in a row for the intersection works and the people of Bursa will be victimized. What needs to be done is to do the final work after the expropriations are completed ”.
