No More Mosquito Nightmare in Ordu!

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated its efforts to combat vectors for a mosquito-free summer.

Continuing planned and periodic work throughout the year, the vector control teams affiliated with Ordu Metropolitan Municipality strive to ensure that citizens have a comfortable and healthy summer season. The teams, who continued to fight against mosquitoes in their resting areas throughout the winter, started to eliminate mosquitoes in their breeding areas with the onset of the summer season.

36 PERSONNEL ARE FIGHTING WITH 24 VEHICLES

In the work carried out in 36 districts with 24 personnel and 19 vehicles, the priority is the destruction of mosquito breeding grounds. In this context, environments such as open areas, puddles, stagnant streams, swamp areas, elevator shafts, under-building waters, construction sites, tanks in gardens, buckets, bathtubs, flower pots, barrels, boats, jerry cans and tires are checked and larvae are detected. Mosquitoes are also prevented from breeding through environmentally and human-friendly interventions.
