CHP Trabzon Deputy Ahmet Kaya brought the allegations about the Erzincan-Trabzon Railway Line to the Parliament with a parliamentary question.

Asking the fate of the railway line project, Kaya said:

“What our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said during his visit to Trabzon on September 15, 1924; It has been 96 years since the words “Nuhbei amalimdir to unite our Trabzon in a short time, including by iron”. Trabzon city for a century
waiting for the railway.

Our previous Prime Minister Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu, AKP Trabzon Deputies, former Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Orhan Fevzi Gümrükçüoğlu and AKP Trabzon Provincial President Mr. Haydar Revi made statements. In their statements, they said that the route discussions about the "Erzincan - Trabzon" railway line have now come to an end and the line has been finalized as Erzincan-Kelkit-Gümüşhane-Torul-Maçka-Trabzon, and even its map has been drawn. They have repeatedly shared their wishes with the public.

“For days, we have been talking about the allegations that the Erzincan-Trabzon Railway has been shifted elsewhere, but the main things to talk about, the ones who should respond to these allegations The AKP members who promised the railway to Trabzon and Gümüşhane for some reason are silent, their voices are not breathing, this is not a good omen! I will not let go of this work until this railway project problem, which is of great importance for Trabzon, is solved. There was something I said the first day I was elected to the parliament in 2018. "Turkey's Eastern Black Sea in every region of our region's existing rail and I'll do whatever it takes to come to our Trabzon'umuza." I stand behind this promise. If Trabzon's 4 ministers and members of parliament have little ownership of this job, we can solve this issue together and easily. The arrival of the railroad in Trabzon means that intercity transportation is cheaper and the goods coming to Trabzon are costed much cheaper. One of Trabzon's most important shortcomings is the railway. "

The questions Kaya submitted to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly to be answered by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu, are as follows:

1- What is the latest status of the Erzincan-Kelkit-Gümüşhane-Torul-Maçka-Trabzon Railway Line Project? Are the claims that this project was shifted to the town of İyidere in Rize, true?

2- If the allegations that the Erzincan-Trabzon railway line was shifted to the iyidere district of Rize are true, what is the reason and justification of this change?

3- If the Erzincan-Trabzon railway line was shifted to another, why and according to what did you give the words "good luck" and "good news" to the politicians of the AKP and our citizens from Trabzon and Gümüşhaneli regarding the Erzincan-Trabzon railway line?

4- The logistics center that was planned to be built in Trabzon Çamburnu in 2013 was then moved to another one. If the claims that the Erzincan-Trabzon railway was shifted to another, are true; Isn't it a great injustice against Trabzon to transfer the projects made in Trabzon to other provinces? Who is behind these injustices?

5- Has Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality provided an opinion of the institution on the subject? If so, what is the institution's opinion?
