Reminding that the obligation of chronic patients and those in the high-risk group to apply to health service providers to get a prescription was temporarily removed, Minister Selçuk reiterated that the cost of medicine and medical supplies will be covered by the Social Security Institution during this period. In this context, Minister Selçuk stated that medicines previously given for one month will continue to be given quarterly.

Minister Selçuk also reminded that the reports registered in the MEDULA System as of January 1, 2020 will be valid in meeting the drug needs of our citizens with chronic diseases and those who are deemed on administrative leave due to chronic disease.

On the other hand, the current reports of patients with a temporary disability report in disabled and elderly pensions and home care assistance will continue to be valid until a second announcement.
