In order to protect public health, the Metropolitan Municipality, which initiated a "transparent panel" application for taxis free of charge in recent weeks with the instruction of the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, has now switched to a transparent cabin application for minibus and private public buses after the decision of Provincial Hygiene.

Making a statement about the transparent cabins, the assembly process of which has been started at Cento Stop, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Police Department Head Mustafa Koç shared the following information:
“Since the beginning of the coronavirus process, we have been continuing a human-oriented struggle by spreading it to all areas of municipality in cooperation with professional organizations. Since the partial normalization process that started after June 1 turned into some negative consequences, we took additional measures. At the beginning of these, 3 weeks ago, we started the protective screen application for the taxi drivers who wanted to, in line with the instructions of our President. With the decision of the Provincial Hygiene Board, it has become a necessity to put a cover between the driver and the passengers in minibuses, public buses and other public transportation vehicles. The tradesmen, who had already lost serious income due to the negativities of the process, would be worried. Therefore, our Metropolitan Mayor, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, gave instructions to mobilize the means of the municipality and to implement this practice on minibuses and public buses. "
Stating that there are 11 types of vehicles and transparent cabin assembly will be made in accordance with these models, Koç said, "We tried to create the most ergonomic structure that will not prevent the communication, sound, money exchange between the passenger and the driver, will not disturb the traffic while driving and protect the driver and passenger from epidemic transfer." said.
