In the 2019-2020 academic year, the first vocational and technical Anatolian high school in this field was established within the scope of the protocol signed between MEB and ASELSAN to train qualified personnel for the defense industry. Students from ASELSAN Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School received a 0,46-percentile in the field of electrical-electronics technology. Thus, students from a 1 percent slice entered a vocational and technical Anatolian high school for the first time.
ASELSAN Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School has a distinguished educational content of 5 years in two branches as “Defense Electronic Systems” and “Defense Mechanical Systems”. The curriculum of both branches was developed specially with a working team for the defense industry needs created by ASELSAN and the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education. Some of the field and branch courses are planned to be given by ASELSAN trainers, and some of the in-service training of school teachers will be coordinated by ASELSAN experts. In addition, the establishment and equipping of the defense industry-oriented workshops and laboratories within the school will be carried out under the joint will of ASELSAN, the Defense Industry Directorate and the Ministry of Education.
