Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş has signed two important protocols that will breathe Bursa traffic. While the protocol regarding the transfer of the Emek City Hospital Rail System Line to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure undertaking the construction was signed, the protocol for the connection of Demirtaş OSB on the Ring Road was signed between Metropolitan and Highways.
The Resolution of the Council of Ministers on the Amendment of the Decision on the Determination of the Conditions Regarding the Assignment, Acquisition and Completion of the Local Rail Transport Systems, Subways and Related Facilities by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, YHT-City Hospital Extension Line was also added. After this decision was signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette on February 25, the traffic between Bursa and Ankara accelerated. Finally, with the protocol signed with Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Emek-Şehir Hospital Light Rail System Line was transferred to the Ministry for manufacturing operations. According to the signed protocol, the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments will obtain authorization from the Presidency Strategy and Budget Directorate for the project to bid. The General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, which will transfer the line to the Metropolitan Municipality after the tender is completed and the entire manufacturing process is completed, will also provide the supply of the rail system vehicles.
Tender in June
Reminding that Bursa City Hospital, which has a total of 6 bed capacity in 355 different hospitals, has provided very good services since the day it opened, Mayor Aktaş said that they are working on alternative transportation routes to the hospital. We are trying to use the possibilities of both our Metropolitan Municipality and our state and different ministries in order to eliminate various problems, especially traffic and transportation, that Bursa is a rapidly developing city and with this development. Emek -Şehir Hospital Rail System Line is one of these projects. Hopefully, if there is no setback, it will be tendered like June. This protocol we made is also related to this. With this transfer protocol, our Ministry will carry out all work and transactions. If it is possible, it will be a rail system line constructed by the Ministry for the first time in Bursa. ”
DOSAB connection on Highways
Mayor Aktaş said that the second important protocol that will breathe the traffic in Bursa was signed with the Regional Directorate of Highways. Reminding that Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone is a very active OIZ, but there is a load on the city in terms of traffic, President Aktaş said, “We were working on a line related to Demirtaş OIZ's connection to the Ring Road. We made a protocol with our Regional Directorate of Highways on this line. We will do expropriation and landscape works. All other construction related issues will belong to our Regional Directorate of Highways. I hope there will be two important moves if these two studies seem to be two different issues in order to reduce the burden on Bursa traffic. I wish these signatures to be beneficial to Bursa.
