Adana Metro is a metro system that traverses Adana in the northwest-southeast direction, and its construction started in 1996. The total length of Adana Metro is 13,5 kilometers and it provides transportation service with 13 stations.
Adana Metro, which was designed in 1988, started to be built in 1996, and whose construction was interrupted many times, was partially opened in April 2009. Its original opening was in May 2010.
The metro route starts from the east side of the Seyhan River, passes through the old city center called the city's neighborhoods and bazaar and then passes in front of the New Province Building and continues to the northwestern districts of the city.
